What We Believe

Rooted in Christ, formed in joy

The Oblate Academy is a Catholic faith formation platform built on the conviction that children are made for God — and that every lesson, every activity, and every resource should help them know, love, and serve Him.

Our content is fully aligned with the Catechism of the Catholic Church. We draw on the treasury of the saints, the richness of Sacred Scripture, and the timeless wisdom of the Church to create resources that are both beautiful and orthodox.

“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”

— Proverbs 22:6

Five Pillars

How we Teach the Faith

Every resource at the Oblate Academy is shaped by five pillars — the foundations of a rich and lasting Catholic faith formation.

Pillar 1 of 5

Jesus Christ

Every resource flows from a personal relationship with Jesus. We don't just teach about Christ — we invite children to encounter Him through story, prayer, and the witness of the saints who loved Him.

Pillar 2 of 5

Sacred Scripture

The Word of God is living and active. Our lessons are woven with Scripture, helping children develop an early and lasting love for the Bible as God's own word spoken directly to them.

Pillar 3 of 5

Virtue

Virtue is the foundation of a well-formed conscience. Through age-appropriate activities and the stories of holy men and women, we help children cultivate the virtues they need to live a life of freedom and love.

Pillar 4 of 5

The Saints

The saints are friends and models — real people who chose God with everything they had. Their stories spark imagination, inspire heroism, and show children that holiness is possible for everyone.

Pillar 5 of 5

Family & Home

Parents are the primary educators of their children in faith. We design every resource to work in the home, supporting families as the domestic church where faith is first caught — and then taught.

The Domestic Church

You are the First Teacher

The Second Vatican Council called the family the “domestic church” — the first place where children encounter the love of God. Oblate Academy exists to support that sacred vocation, providing tools that make faith formation at home joyful and accessible.

Family Prayer

Daily prayer together forms children's hearts and anchors the family in God.

Sacred Scripture

Reading God's Word together at home plants seeds that bear fruit for a lifetime.

Acts of Service

Faith lived outward — in small acts of love, generosity, and care for others.

Our Approach

Faith in Action

We believe children learn best by doing. Our resources are hands-on, age-appropriate, and grounded in the living tradition of the Church.

Learn through Saints

Real heroes of faith become guides for the journey. Children see virtue lived out in the stories of men and women who chose God heroically.

Practice through Virtue

Character is built through repetition. Our activities give children concrete ways to practice virtues like courage, gratitude, and self-control every day.

Grow through Family

Faith formation doesn't end at the classroom door. Every resource is designed to work in the home, making the family the center of faith education.
